Lenses Designed for Children’s Visual Needs

Children have visual requirements that differ significantly from those of adults.

They read, draw, and handle objects at much shorter working distances than adults. In addition, differences in facial morphology and the smaller size of children’s frames tend to position the lenses much closer to the eye.

Each KIDS lens is developed using dedicated software that takes into account the child’s specific near working/play distance, the vertex distance, and the reduced interpupillary distance. The result is a lens that provides high-definition vision in all directions of gaze.

The KIDS lens range includes several geometry designs, such as:

Open Kids: free-form aspheric and atoric single-vision lenses

Pro Studio: designed to provide appropriate accommodative support

Ultravision Kids: intended for the correction of very high hyperopia

Pro Executive and Bifocal Kids: dedicated to visual rehabilitation

Myopkids: designed for the management of myopia progression
